Hotel in the mountains near Turin
Just less than an hour from Turin, a hotel and restaurant on the shores of the lake nestled among the most beautiful mountains of Piedmont. Good food, relaxation and nature, for a holiday at the reach of all. In case of heavy snow (unlikely from May to October) the roads are kept clean by a snow-plough service.

As in the whole of Turin, it is mandatory to have snow tires or chains on board in the colder months. We are in the lake region 8 in the municipality of Moncenisio, in the province of Turin (Piedmont), on the shores of the large lake at 1500 meters above sea level.
Near Turin in the Piedmont:
To reach us: from Turin (about 50 minutes drive) the ideal is to take the A32 motorway and exit at Susa; coming from Frejus take the A32 motorway and exit at Susa west. Then take the N.25 State from Susa to the Moncenisio pass.

10km from Susa turn right, direction Moncenisio Comune, and continue for about 5 km until you reach the lakes of Ferrera Moncenisio. Coming from the Moncenisio pass: about 15 minutes from the hill after the hamlet Bar Cenisio turn left towards Moncenisio Comune.
Last meters before the hotel
Once you reach the Lago Grande (the lake), you will find on your left the parking lot and a few meters further the hotel restaurant. There are, of course, other ways to reach us.
ATTENTION: Many navigators make you turn right immediately after Susa, thus taking a slightly shorter variant that passes by Novalesa.

To know that in case of snow the road to Novalesa is closed, so you must go through the main road (SS. 25). Many people in the period of opening the road, prefer the route “via Novalesa”: shorter and more smooth (except in the last kilometers, where the road is uphill and winding).
Weather in Moncenisio:
To know: the weather in mountain hotel, especially with our conformation, is not an exact science, it is enough that a current changes even slightly to vary significantly the temperatures and cloud coverage. The Cenischia Valley and Moncenisio tend to be areas with little rainfall, and airy.

However, the climate in recent years has been highly unpredictable: forecasts, even at multiple sites, are often not very reliable. The Chalet Sul Lago enjoys a beautiful southern exposure.
